Probably postwar, 1940 would be very rare in Sweden even if a few cars reached us. |

Probably, but I'm almost certain this model was introduced in 1940, and unless we can fix the actual year (e.g. by licence plates) we give the first model year, no? |

That´s the basic rule yes But we also use what´s most probable if there are good reasons for it. For this one I can´t tell if it´s a 1940 or a 1946, it was introduced in the fall of 1939 so it´s possible that it came here as a brand new car. But import ceased almost immediatley when the war broke out and quite a few cars of MY 1939 wasn´t sold until 1945-46. But a few cars of MY 1940 did get here as new cars, and some even after the war. So it can´t be ruled out that this is a 1940 model, but if there are no details keeping it apart from the postwar production I would guess it´s a 1946-47 model. Possibly 1945, depending on when production started and that import was very low right after the war. |
