Juvaquatre Fourgonnette. Though the wheels are pre-1954, the rib above the windscreen indicates a 1954-1956 4CV model [R 2100]. By the indicators on the side, I'd say it's a 1955 model. Edit: Daupninoise can be excluded: no Renault rhombe on the grille. -- Last edit: 2008-03-13 19:36:50 |

The French license plate seems to be a '59' (= Nord); interesting text: 'Estamninet' = café, simple hotel or restaurant (typical Northern French word); 'In den Goedendag' ((old) Dutch: Dans le bonjour / in the good day, but goedendag is also a medieaval weapon, a bludgeon with spikes on it); Bavinchove is a small village close to Cassel (south of Dunkerque/Duinkerken = Dunechurches).
