Minor Series II. 1952-56, but style of grille changed in October 1954, so this is prefacelift and therefore 52 to 54 only possible. The bonnet adornment separates it from the earlier highlight Series MM, which did not have one like this. Split windscreen, small rear screen, Lucas “cheese-dish” back lights. There should be a starting handle hole in the front bumper, and the styling crease with a coach line should extend along the bonnet. /vehicle_583842-Morris-Minor-MM-1951.html Well done to the artist, all details well illustrated, unlike some of the junk you see. My only queries are the extra lights on the boot lid, and what looks like two petrol filler caps. The illustrated surroundings look British/English, unfortunately the numberplate doesn’t, but heigh-ho. All detail achieved by observation and pre-installed knowledge without reference to a numberplate; or a VIN which had not yet been invented. -- Last edit: 2022-03-08 09:26:44 |
