The classiccarcatalogue website detailing the post-war models (including the 8 Tourer) mentions 'Flying' not at all, dsl. In regard to identifying a Twelve vs. a Fourteen, maybe those draught excluder things at the top of the door windows? (If not simply a de luxe feature). |

This model was introduced in1939 as the Flying Eight, and the convention on the site is to date from the earliest if no other evidence is available. |
