I've noticed that all the Contintental Mark IIs on the site are 1956 models. I assume the sales of the '57 and '58 Continentals were so dismal Ford discontinued the brand... only to have to discontinue another certain brand of theirs a year later. |

The reason you see them all listed as 1956's is because the '57's were identical and the only way to tell a '57 is by its serial number. We use first possible model year here on the site. No doubt some of the Continentals you are seeing are actually 1957 models. |

I did consider that since since I googled "1957 Contintental Mark II" and saw that they were identical. |

There is one small feature that can be partially used. The early '56's seemed to lack the front bumper guards. Later '56's and all 1957's had them. Of course, that doesn't help to specifically ID one as a '57. |
