De Soto Firedome Sedan 1952 |

According to my info the name Firedome wasn't used before 1953. In 1952 it was DeLuxe [S-15-1] or Custom [S-15-2]. |

From what I can find Firedome was introduced as 1952 models [S-17], but I can´t tell if this is one or De Luxe/Custom. Possibly it has the wider hood ornamentation of the Firedome, looking like an air intake, but it´s too blurred to be sure and the shadow looking like it seems to be wider than it should. The badge beneath it seems smaller than the Firedome badge though. So I think we can settle with just 1952 De Soto. It might even be a 1951, the difference was in the letters of the De Soto name, script for 1951 and block letters for 1952. But that can´t be seen either, for certain, but there might be traces of block letters in this blurr. |
