The made for tag does not apply if the vehicle does not have any exterior differences compared to the home market. LHD vs RHD does not apply. 1. Name differences where the tag would apply: Mitsubishi Challenger (JDM name) vs Mitsubishi Montero Sport, Pajero Sport, Nativa (all should have tags due to the name difference). 2. Trim levels not offered in the home market. Japan has tons of trims for their models where as the export models generally have far less (sometimes none as all like the Prius!). This would allow the tag to be present if someone came prove the trim differed from the home market. Now there are other reasons to add the tag (fog lamps mandated, mud flaps required, different color head lamps mandated, different bumpers affixed, repeaters not found on the home market, ect...) Do any of these, or possibly other reasons, apply to add the tag to this? Just because it was sold in your market does not automatically qualify for the made for tag. Hope this helps ![]() |
