This is a difficault one... Non-suicide doors: 1965+; old grille and long strip on the hood: pre-1966. But in 1965 the 2CV had only two side windows on each side (at least in France). The third window was available as aftermarket extra (by Glaçauto) and also on Belgian built cars. In both cases it is placed more outwards than on the later French models, and indeed one can see that it is like that, here. By the rectangular indicators (in France only in 1967 on the 'Export' version but in Belgium since 1962 on all models). I'm pretty sure this is a Belgian built AZAM or even AZAM6 (with AMI6 chassis and engine). If there is a view of the rear taht might help (different badge, exhaust system upto the rear only on the AZAM6. Belgian production would also explain the red TT license plate. Thanks for these extra pics, No Car. But this is a different one, much newer. The one in the main pic has red license plates. |
