@admin: I'm sorry to ask this again, but how do I do to make my wikipedia links work? |

Agree it's what I think of as Daimler Vanden Plas and would probably have V12. But I'm not totally sure of badging and plinth - compare. I wonder if this one has Jaguar plinth and badge on left of plate - we used to think that Daimler badge was not used in D in case Daimler-Benz got upset, but then found lots of exceptions, so abandoned the idea, but maybe it applied for some years?? Not sure if badge on right says Double Six or Vanden Plas, with the silver plaque probably for HE (July 81+) and confirming V12. |

Use BBCode to wrap the link, url in front and close with /url, in [ ] upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/f/f3/1981_Daimler_Double_Six_Vanden_Plas_Automatic_%2815627891698%29.jpg |

I originally thought it was a Daimler, but: https://i.ebayimg.com/00/s/MTIwMFgxNjAw/z/GX0AAOSw2AdiYYlO/$_59.JPG proves me wrong. It's a MY 1985 Jaguar XJ 12 vanden Plas which have been for sale on German eBay, but it's sold now. |

.. which as far as I know is a Germany only combination. Agree that's the best reading of the badges, but we haven't seen another before. We do have some Jaguar Sovereign HE S3 with a few German examples in the batch, but none with exact same badges, although this one gets very close as another probable VdP, but with 3 levels of badge on right of numberplate. My brain hurts now. |
