A VW 1200, with the black hatch handles, window rubber and missing vent slots for engine and ventilation. C-pillar dents are barely visible, like a shadow in this light L-package was introduced 1970, for 1300 and 1500 - not the 1200 (yet). Rear window here is 1972+ Up until 1973, the 1200 was carrying the former type of bumpers, slightly lower and brackets were running through front valance, not through the wings. 1974 we got the new 1200 - square bumpers, black on basic models, 1303-style taillights and wings to match them. Still with less chrome, even on 1200L Yes, most items are bolt-on, like the wheels, some welding would be required, but it's indeed possible. What are the chances they found such an upgraded 1969 for this scene? |
