This is a rather strange looking one. - It has the V shaped ornament, but without the S in the middle. - It has the side strip of more luxurios models, but not the big hubcap covering the whole wheel. There were three versions available at the time https://www.classiccarcatalogue.com/STUDEBAKER_1954.html : - Champion Regal, - Commander Regal and - Land Cruiser. When looking at /vehicle_1661711-Zastava-1100-Karavan-103D-1958.html it is possible to see that it doesn't have the upmarket upholstery of the Land Cruiser. The difference between the Champion Regal and the Commander Regal was, mainly, the engine. Whilst the Champion Regal had an I6, the Commander Regal had a V8. Perhaps Champion Regal as a default? It might be likely because of the smaller hubcaps. |

Any better view of the fender badge? Champions have a circled S while Commanders have a circled 8. |

It is curious that in the first thumb appears on the left what appears to be an identical model in that characteristic red color... was it some special fleet? Or some batch shipment? |
