if it wasn't for the indicator, I could have sworn it was a SIMCA 1000 |

The Renault 8 had another line for the hood/bonnet Link to "upload.wikimedia.org" I still believe it's a Simca 1000, but made for USA. https://www.flickr.com/photos/njsimca/5232358392 Probably a Simca 1000 Deluxe because of the wide aluminium strip to the left of the amber light. Standard: Link to "i.pinimg.com" (No aluminium strip) Deluxe: https://www.flickr.com/photos/njsimca/6089471185 (Aluminium strip, but no GLS badge) GLS: Link to "upload.wikimedia.org" (Aluminium strip with a GLS badge) -- Last edit: 2022-06-14 21:42:26 |

If orange sidelights are reliable, with this format of front trim our US 1000 collection suggests 1965-67. |

@dsl: If I understand this correctly, those amber lights are not indicators, but lights to indicate how big the car is when stationary and it is dark outside. Having that said, they can function as indicators, but that is not a requirement. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Automotive_lighting -- Last edit: 2022-06-15 20:59:18 |

Yes, this is an ordinary 1966 Simca 1000 DeLuxe for the U.S. market. Those yellow lights are simply the blinkers, nothing unusual about them except that the front facia is unique to the U.S.A. Incidentally, the flickr link from "night cub" is my 1965 model. |
