I once saw a Renault LeCar in Sweden with Swedish plate. It was one of the first type with round headlights. The year was 1982 and it was driven by a woman on an important suburban way. I was very impressed as I would be surprised if it was regularly imported in Sweden. Could anyone of you tell me more ? Thanks -- Last edit: 2022-07-02 14:41:00 |

Maybe an American who *really* loved her car and had it shipped over when she moved to Sweden? -- Last edit: 2022-07-02 17:10:44 |

“LeCar” was a special edition in Europe for the R5 to make it look like a US model. http://www.auto-pub.net/ASL/photos_Renault/5_Le_car_pub.jpg Maybe one of those? -- Last edit: 2022-07-02 17:29:24 |

Yes, Gamer, but it was completely different. I mean the one for the US and Canada with round headlights and tipically exagerated bumpers to fit the US specifications. |

Maybe. Sweden was (until a few days ago) not in the NATO, but, since many Sweds had much previously emigrated in the US, it is possible someone could have gone taking the LeCar she had bought there. |
