Film car has ribbed grille, six studs on bonnet, spare wheel and had a four hinge door. Definitive answer from Railton Owners is that this is one of two post war cars built in 1946 on 1937 chassis, powered by Hudson straight eight 4.6 engine and DHC body by Harod Rafford. One car in USA another in UK; sight of the numberplate would pinpoint which. Harold Radford later came to broader fame with deluxe Minis. -- Last edit: 2022-07-21 16:03:56 |

So, are you saying 1946 Railton 8 Claremont? |

No, as mentioned in my post just above, I was advised it is a 1946 Railton 8 Radford DHC. -- Last edit: 2022-07-21 16:17:02 |
