Plate is actually RC 5266 which several plate check sites suggest is on a red 1937 MG Midget ("Not taxed for on road use"). This page also lists TA1218 as the chassis number. And since I have no idea what I just typed, I'll go away now... |

It all makes sense - MG TA was nicknamed Midget (because it wasn't very big). "Not taxed for on road use" is always intriguing - suggests on display in a museum or collection although there may be other explanations. But I've no idea what they might be ... |
