Is the plate 1948? The car certainly isn’t. |

It is really difficult with cars registered from the end of the civil war (1939) until almost 1950 because imports were almost non-existent and practically anything pre-war that ran on a little gasoline was recycled. |

It’s a right hand drive car (no mirrors) and is definitely a 30s chassis. The radiator is too far back for any of the post war designs. We have therefore the possibility of 20/25, 25/30 or a Phantom. If it’s a Phantom, it wouldn’t run on a little fuel, it would need a lot of fuel. -- Last edit: 2022-08-03 21:16:37 |

Not really - if jfs can't resolve, it will be beyond me as well. We have other RR experts as occasional visitors, so it's not dead yet. |

My main problem is that I need a more side on view. If you don’t know the coachbuilder on first sight, you need as much detail as possible, and these views don’t show the doors, or the treatment of the back of the car well enough to help. It is also very difficult to gauge the length of the car, and the relative lengths of the bonnet and the passenger compartment. I could make a guess, but I’d rather not. -- Last edit: 2022-08-04 20:33:00 |
