1993-1994 (or just 1994 if you say that it is not older than that) |

How can this be? A 1993-94 with a grey bumper? Someone made a mistake |

You mean by repairing the car or here by identifying it? The grille looks like the 93-94 for me |

Oh no, it's identified right, it is a 1993-94. It's just that it should have a yellow bumper if it was a "correct" NYC taxi of that year. -- Last edit: 2008-04-18 21:25:52 |

How can you really even be sure? I mean, it looks like it could be an authentic NYC taxi. Now, I'm not much of an expert on NYC taxis, but I only know about 1995+ NYC taxis. Maybe in 1993 they had their cars set up differently than in 1994. Also, remember what I told you about the grey bumpers a while back. Ford didn't offer it as a factory color at the time, and the bumpers where painted at a different facility than the rest of the body. Two facilities, two paint jobs |

NYC taxicabs in 1993-1994 consisted of two types: The Chevy Caprice and the Ford Crown Victoria. The Crown Vics of this era had all yellow bumpers. Grey bumpers were not introduced until the 1995-1997 model Crown Vics hit the streets. And plus this is truly an inaccurate NYC taxi. It is a 1993-1994 model with grey bumpers and the taxi hat is different from those used on NYC taxis. -- Last edit: 2008-04-20 07:19:45 |

Exactly what I'm saying! This cab should have yellow bumpers |
