Might the inside door panels be a clue? I don't know if there was a difference between the Impala and Caprice in that regard.

It is not a Caprice, as it lacks the chrome trim on the rear hood line. Yes it is the correct body of a 1980-90 GM B Body.

Movie companies often do not use actual Police Package (9C1) cars.

The Impala ended production in 1985, and the 86-90 9c1 Package was then offered on the Low trim level Caprice. Non classic.

The interior color alone places it more likely to be an '80-'84 Impala 9C1. However, by 1999 an actuall 9C1 Impala had become a rarity. I will I.D. it for you more precisely next time I see the movie.
