1992-96 GL from the looks of it. There appears to be no trim badge (as in 'Golf GL') which was typical of the last year and a half, but these all had painted front and rear plastic: 1996 CL/1997 base: painted f/r plastic, unpainted cladding, fender antenna 1996 GL/1997 Comfortline: painted f/r plastic (still unpainted on 96) painted cladding, fender antenna 1997 Trendline: painted f/r plastic, painted cladding, roof antenna.
