This object is currently on display within the Museum’s Making the Modern World Gallery... I have reviewed Museum archival records and can confirm that this object was acquired in 1979 from Nattriss Garages (Mapperley) Ltd. From the corresponding technical file (T/1979-371) and nominal file (1005/22/28) I can also confirm that the car was built in 1950 and had two previous owners." https://board.mmoc.org.uk/viewtopic.php?t=39899

Either someone has fitted the engine from a late built Minor 1000, or it’s an error. The originally fitted engine was a 918cc sidevalve straight four from the 1935 Morris Eight. It is a lowlight two-door saloon, if genuine.
