![]() It says 500 Superfast, but surely it isn't? It's rather 330 or 365 GTC, isn't it? -- Last edit: 2022-11-18 13:44:24 |

Yes the prop master was not talking to the technical advisor! It's a 330 as the hood louvres of the 365 would be visible here I think. |

I think finding Ferrari's of these vintage to rent is probably pretty hard (especially with no help from Ferrari corporate), so they took what they could get. |

But did they really have to call it a 500? Why not a 330? ![]() |

Well i'm not familiar with the years of those models, but the movie is a period piece. and the scene takes place at the same time that Lamborghini unveiled their first car, so that might have something to do with it |

It's a bit naive - you make a film about a glamorous car legend to attract an audience of car nerds, and then fake the scene with a particularly legendary car. Maybe it was understandably impossible to get a 500 SF in front of the cameras, but surely someone would have realised that the nerds would pounce and contemptuously expose the fakery with loud trumpets of derision. |

I don't really blame them. Ferrari is extremely protective of its brand and they're making a movie about their biggest, rival where Lamborghini is being portrayed as a 'hero' and Ferrari as the 'Villain'. I'm willing to bet that the people who own these multi-million dollar pieces of art probably have multiple Ferrari's, and fear alienating Ferrari corporate. Ferrari is known for keeping tight control over who can buy a new Ferrari and who can place a pre-order. |
