1953 140 AF Casaro / CGE "Casaro (Athens). The very extensive trolleybus network in Athens saw Italian construction vehicles circulating until the mid-1980s. This image shows two of the 80 three-axle Alfa Romeo 140 AFs that the Turin-based company delivered to the Greek capital network, where they were numbered 1001 - 1040, on trial inside the Casaro factories, presumably in 1953." Also not built-in-GR. All the others listed Athens Alfa Casaro's are made-for-GR presumably because of some form of external and/or internal mods but definitely nothing concerning mechanicals-electrics was done to them after import if we believe all sources I've read. |
