This could be a Tata Turpial. http://www.tucarro.com.ve/anuncios/carros/ahc-46b.html -- Last edit: 2008-05-26 21:26:01 |

I think that tucarro.com.ve entry must be a mistake. The Venezualan-Iranian joint venture Venirauto produces a model called the Turpial 141, which is the same as the Iranian SAIPA 141, which in turn is a sedan version of the old Kia Pride/Mazda 121. http://www.venirauto.com/vehiculos/ver/3 EDIT: The car on that tucarro page has the SAIPA logo on its steering wheel. -- Last edit: 2008-05-26 21:33:41 |

As far as I can tell, the model name is Venirauto Turpial. -- Last edit: 2008-05-26 21:55:48 |

It's quite clearly not a Tata, so can we at least change it to unknown? ![]() -- Last edit: 2008-05-27 11:15:19 |

When was this episode made? Venirauto began production in July 2007: http://www.globalautoindex.com/maker.plt?no=2913&g=Venirauto If the episode was made before then, I think the car must be a SAIPA, because Wikipedia says that SAIPA, not Kia, developed the sedan version: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kia_Pride Anyway, the "model origin: India" field needs to be deleted as well. |
