Looks to be a MkVI SSS, based entirely upon the shape of the rear wing, nothing else visible. Date quoted above is the first year of production of the Mk VI. R-Type is 1952. Unfortunately not visible enough to be certain or to attempt to pin it down to any individual car. I think that it is right hand drive, so it may be Brits on tour. However, 121 MkVIs were sold in France, by the retailer, Franco-Britannic Autos of Levallois-Perret. There were also sub-dealers in Lyons, Nice and Monaco. Bearing in mind the six year production run of the Mk VI, about 20 cars a year split four ways wasn’t going to make anyone a fortune. Just in case it’s an R-type, 63 cars were sold over the three year run, again about 20 cars a year, but this may not be relevant if it’s a visiting Brit. -- Last edit: 2022-10-30 20:24:54 |
