I believe this one and a few other cars, which appeared in this Mini-Series, belonged to Stasys Brundza.

^ confirmed! I was involved when the Brundza collection was auctioned and many of his cars were brought to Germany afterwards, which is why I know some of the cars used here 'in the flesh'. Can check tomorrow and maybe provide pictures, if you're interested.

Nice to hear :)

I remember he had a solid collection of Cadillac's (I could be wrong, but I believe he owned a total of 39 different Cadillac's, ranging from 1920s to early 1990s) and many, many other nice and rare exotics, which I had the pleasure to see when his collection was exhibited at Litexpo Congress Centre many years ago. Unfortunately, he had to sell most of them because he didn't have enough finance to cover the cost of keeping them in that place. It's really a shame, but at least they are now in safe hands somewhere in Germany, I hope :)

Oh and yes, it would be nice if you could share some of the pictures :)

@s13a: My pleasure! :) Yes, that was a huge and unusual collection, and Mr. Brundza - a really nice and humble man - obviously had a soft-spot for the Cadillac Fleetwood Series Seventy-Five. I believe he owned the largest collection of Series Seventy-Five sedans and limousines in Europe at that time. The aucitoned cars went everywhere, but a whole lot of them was transferred to Germany and it was my job to promote them, write and/ or translate the advertising texts, compile historical data and equipment lists, take pictures (in some cases), which is why I only know some of the cars from this collection, with my favourites being a 1965 Lincoln Continental Executive Limousine by Lehmann-Peterson, the Lincoln Continental Mark V and a super-rare 1958 Fleetwood Series Seventy-Five Formal Sedan by the Derham Body Co. of Rosemont, Pennsylvania, that already made its deserved appearance on IMCDb. Once my job was done, I lost track of most individual developments, but I know for a fact that the Continental Mark V and the Derham are now part of a private collection in Lower Saxony and thus definitely in safe hands! :)

I may have more detailed info and documents, but only limited access to them at this point, so my appropriate contributions are more of a work in progress.

Thanks for the information and the pictures. So you've met him as well? That's very nice :) Besides his impressive collection, he is also a household name in the Soviet Rallying scene - possibly the most successful Soviet rally driver who was also the founder of Lada VFTS.

Yes, I briefly met him once and we talked for a few minutes, but it was enough to get an idea of his personality. :) When I was asked to take care of the cars from his collection, I had no idea who he was, as motorsport is far from my personal fields of interest. That's why I started researching him and his merits and wrote a German article about Stasys Brundza, which was also used to promote his vehicles on the German/ European market. This is how I found out about the Lada VFTS and all his other projects and it was a good way to 'get into the groove' before I went on and interviewed his cars, one by one.

I meanwhile checked my archives and found out what I already assumed: The auction catalogue with all VINs and further details (including all the cars that I didn't get to work with) must have been in the bag with my old notebook, that unfortunately got lost - so no more technical details and VIN-checks for these from here, as only some pictures have survived... Sorry to have raised more expectations than I could fulfill!

:/
