I see that there was no French Grand Prix in 1955 so I presume this is the start of the 1954 event, the first in which the Mercedes W196s appeared. That is Fangio and Kling in the two Mercedes taking off on the left. Bira's Maserati 250F #46 is nearest followed by Onofre Marimon's similar car - #12 - with Villoresi's 250F beside it.
