 I don't know about the ground convoyer, but here is a very interesting picture [Image: top.gif]
It's an Il-14P produced under license by VEB Flugzeugbau of Dresden in 1956, delivered to the former East-Germany side of Lufthansa which became Interflug in the 60's

 A short time later the manufacturing of airplanes was stopped in the GDR. It was a COMECON-decision, that several technical goods should be made only in one country. For this reason the production of buses and bigger motorbikes was forbidden in the GDR, too.

 I think we can list this as Esslingen. Shape of the inscription fit:

this one was build in 1957 so same period when movie was filmed

 Yes, but this "1" or "2" indicates generation or capacity? Probably better list this simply as DG...
