Yes S1 was plain side trim. Rootes did not invent side flashes until S2. TOP 553 was Birmingham, Aug-Sept 56 and Gazelle launch was Sept 56. May well have been fleet registered by George Heath Motors for PR use alongside Rootes Coventry reg'd cars. |
