Sales of the XV10 Camry begun around late 1992 to 1993 in the Gulf market. Between that timeframe and early 1996, the sedans & wagons were sourced from the Japanese and Kentucky plant respectfully. Starting from February '96 however, Toyota MENA switched to sourcing both the sedan & wagon models from Australia instead. Here's what I found on Toyota parts listings. The dates are production dates, AE means Japan-made sedan, CW means USA-made wagon. SXV10 / 5S-FE / 2.2i / gcc (08/1992 > 08/1996, AE) GL SXV10 / 5S-FE / 2.2i / gcc (08/1993 > 08/1996, AE) XL VCV10 / 3VZ-FE / 3.0i / gcc (08/1992 > 08/1997, AE) GL, Grande, Lumiere SXV10 / 5S-FE / 2.2i / gcc (09/1992 > 07/1996, CW) XL, GL No data available after the switch to Australian-made XV10 Camrys. |
