700 series? |

700- and 900-series Volvos are notoriously difficult to separate as they looked almost the same. That especially concerns those sold in the U.S. and Canada during the years 1990 until 1993. After 1993 there's no problem as the 740 was discontinued. At least I haven't found any real differences. I'd appreciate if anybode else has any deeper knowledge. -- Last edit: 2023-01-14 09:53:17 |

I think we can see the 940 dashboard right below the left actor's mirrored head in the window (740 still has the rectangular one), but I recommend trusting @atom's expertise in those cases. |

@AntrimatroixX: Firstly it cannot be the reflection of the dashboard, because it doesn't go that high. If it did, it would obstruct the view of the road ahead. Secondly it's much mre complicated than that, the later 740 got the 940 dashboard https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1992-volvo-740-turbo-6/ , some U.S. 940 has got the European spec 740 front and so on. I've got a 1991 940 and a 1988 740 at home, so I'm aware of some differences, but I'm not entirely familiar with all the differences between U.S. and European specifications. |

Sorry, 740 and 940 isn't really my forte. |
