A 1947 Bedford OB from Whittle’s of Highley. (Originally) It’s carried two bodies, but I don’t know when the change occurred. This image shows the later body, not the Duple. The older amongst us may recall the infamous kidnapping of Lesley Whittle. With every respect to her family, and to her memory, it was probably a better story than that of the subject film. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kidnapping_and_murder_of_Lesley_Whittle -- Last edit: 2023-01-18 19:53:36 |

The Duple body was fitted as new, the subject image shows the bus after the change. I originally identified this coachwork wrongly, and think that it is more likely to be a Mulliner body. http://www.old-bus-photos.co.uk/?p=24389 This photo of a Mulliner body from the above website. ![]() -- Last edit: 2023-01-18 20:09:47 |

Unless anyone cares to offer another suggestion, I will leave it as Mulliner. |
