The bus looks to be a wartime "Utility" bodied model. The front dome is simply curved, and there appears to be only one very small headlamp. In that case, since the Guy Arab was the only double deck bus available by order of the government during WW II, we have a reasonable chance that this is, indeed a Guy Arab. Many coachbuilders built bodies to the utility standard, so unless somebody out there is an expert on Wakefield's buses, (Yorkshire Woollen District??) we cannot guess the make of the bodywork. |
