Either this particular Smart was well maintained, or the people making the episode didn't know it would go out of production that year. XD XD XD

The writers may have(like I said) had some foresight of "Oh, the Smart will still be in production by 2012 in the original form." (I also like older vehicles) The Smart Forfour went back into production in 2014 in another form and discontinued last year (so far.)
