this thing shows how impractical soviet MLRS is compared to american HIMARS while with HIAMRS you can change a pod all at once and be ready to fire again , here you have to load each rocked indivdually and it needs a dedicated support vehicle for that too nevrmind things like near non existing accuracy at long ranges |

Just goes to show how different the USSR built stuff. The Concorde was whisper-quiet on the inside, while journalists who flew on the Tupolev 144 complained of wind and engine noise. To them, things didn't need to be user-friendly or even that up-to-date, hence all the old Soviet-era vehicles still in regular use today; they just had to function and be able to serve their intended purpose, though certain vehicles (military and government) were built to a higher standard, ie Volga over Moskvitch. Compare this DVK-2 computer to an Apple MacIntosh of the same time; loud cooling fan with no sound-deafening, loud klacky keys, and a monochrome display when most Western computers had made the move to colour. https://youtu.be/O0gAgQQHFcQ?t=150 |
