No, born as Stoewer ![]() This is either the 'leichter geländegängiger Personenkraftwagen' (Kfz.1) or the outwardly similar 'leichter Meßtruppkraftwagen' (Kfz.3). They, together with the sightly different Kfz.2 and Kfz.4 used the unified chassis (Einheits-Fahrgestell I für leichten Personenkraftwagen) and body, while the engines, lubrication and electrical components were make specifically either by the parentage company Stoewer (R 180 Spezial (1936-38), R 200 Spezial (1938-49), Typ 40 (1940-43)) or by Hanomag (Typ 20 B (1937-40)) or BMW (Typ 325 (1937-40)). Until 1940 this chassis used a four-wheel-steering. As details are too blurred to tell exactly who made this vehicle, I will choose the version of which most were made: Stoewer Typ 40 (1940-43). |
