"Ranch Wagon" script for sure. Ford had two fullsize Ranch Wagons in 1968: Ranch Wagon and Custom 500 Ranch Wagon. The brochure shows the latter with "Custom 500" script on the rear fender but the couple survivors I've found show both models as built had "Ranch Wagon" script on the fender and the marginally-fancier one got extra "Custom 500" script on the tailgate. I have not discerned any other external difference. Front fender badge shows it has a large displacement V-8, probably a 390. Theoretically it could be a 428, but that would seem very unlikely in a Ranch Wagon. -- Last edit: 2023-05-07 19:40:37 |
