Named Cabstar and built in India by the now-defunct Hyderabad Allwyn Nissan Ltd. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hyderabad_Allwyn#Tie-in_with_Nissan Mahindra & Mahindra acquired Hyderabad Allwyn Nissan and continue to build the F22 Cabstar as the Mahindra Loadking. /vehicle_107050-Mahindra-Loadking.html -- Last edit: 2023-05-08 14:31:59 |

However it should have the "Allwyn-Nissan" name upfront, instead of "Nissan" :![]() The body-colored grille and the body-colored plastic parts around the headlights are more common to find on JDM models. -- Last edit: 2023-05-08 15:41:29 |

Import duty on automobiles is 120 per cent in India, so I can't see how imported trucks would ever be value for money. Wikpedia says that Mahindra & Mahindra bought a majority of Allwyn Nissan in 1989, with Nissan retaining a 15 per cent stake until M & M bought them out in 1994. Perhaps the trucks were badged as Nissan after 1989. -- Last edit: 2023-05-08 16:02:23 |

It appears this particular scene was shot in the States, not in India, as I previously thought. The truck was provided by NY-based Octane Film Cars, so this is most likely a JDM model.![]() picture from their fb page |
