dunno I didn't think this cause this part here doesn't seem to match and the wheel cover seems wider -- Last edit: 2023-05-11 18:41:41 |

Is this the post war German army? Standard British army truck at start of war was a 3 ton 6x4 like this.Very similar 3ton 6x4 trucks were made by Leyland, AEC, Guy , Albion, Karrier, Crossley and Thornycroft. Most of these were lost in France post Dunkirk and many used by Wehrmacht. They had very silly open cabs with no proper windscreen and a canopy as they had been made mainly for use in the Empire which was generally a lot warmer than UK! The Wehrmacht sensibly built closed cabs on them and I think this is one of them.( Most went to Russia) See Link to "www.kfzderwehrmacht.de" After Dunkirk standard British army truck became 3ton 4x4 like Bedford QL as they used less material and were better off road. 6x4 3tonners were still made in small numbers for longer special bodies. So Leyland Retriever still a good call but could be one of the others. -- Last edit: 2023-05-15 06:29:06 |
