This is a medium-priced car from around 1927-8 but what?? The distinctive feature of it is the suicide (front opening) front doors. Not many cars used this feature. One I found was Essex but this car looks too high to be an Essex. |

I strongly suspect a 1927 Franklin Model 11 B sedan here , but unfortunately hood side and front details are badly visible .Model 11 Franklins were high squarish cars with a relatively short wheelbase and had the front and rear suicide doors. |

Looks like Franklin model 11 it would be. I have a picture in a book of a 1927 model 11 and it has a similar paint job with the darker colour extending below the windows like this one. Wb of the model 11 was 119 inches. This pic is a bit distorted. -- Last edit: 2008-06-16 11:34:25 |
