 there was a lot of donut thefts back then in NYPD stations so they had to investigate.. they needed someone outside the NYPD, the reason why the NYPD police have a canadian car.. :D

I was wondering how did a Canadian market "Tempest" randomly ending up in Oman. Sure grey imports exists but i wondered if GM sold them new in the Gulf.

or maybe they wanted a classic Tempest and the order got mixed up..

not the original wheels but actually looks not bad at all on it.. :D

Found this large map fold ad for the Pontiac Tempest in Bahrain, written in both English and Arabic. Likely displayed at local GM dealerships or at local car shows.

 I'm now almost certain that this example was sold new in Oman. I found an actual ad on a Saudi newspaper from September 1990.

For the record, i also found an ad for the Pontiac Sunburst on a different Saudi newspaper, also from 1990. A Sunburst actually appears in an old Omani TV show that i haven't covered yet.
