Close but no cigar. PL411, likely 1967, not an RL411 and DEFinitely not a 410, not as a U.S. car anywho. Those rectangular tail lights are '67-only here in the U.S. (or perhaps a '67 sold in '68 as was my first 411 -- '67 RL411 SSS (Super Sport Sedan) with 1600 roadster engine. I always thought Baretta was filmed EXCLUSIVELY in New York, but that license plate (yes, I know New York of that era was ALSO yellow-on-black) has me thinking this was shot in SoCal (location in or not far from the studio). The letter/number combo on the plate has me leaning that direction. Mine was VUP761 (purchased March '68, this doesn't look far off from that). The one I have now, an 'early' '67 RL model ("1600" as opposed to "SSS"), is UAS783. Both original black plates of course. |
