Something American form the late 40ies. Chrysler? DeSoto? Just a wild guess. |

I'd say it's a 1946-1948 Dodge (by the grille), and by the lack of chrome on the rar fender it will be a DeLuxe [D-24-S]. |

It is not a Dodge DeLuxe D-24-S but a 1946-48 Dodge Kingsway ( D-25-C) with the 117 1/2 inch wheelbase based on the Plymouth. The D-24's had longer wheelbases of 119 1/2 inch. |

Merci, Pilou! Was the Kingsway an export-only model? |

Yes , the Plymouth based Dodges were export models only. They came as the Dodge Special DeLuxe in Canada built in Chrysler's Windsor factory and as the Dodge Kingsway in the other markets built in other Chrysler plants among them Antwerp. The 1946-48 Dodge Kingsways also used Plymouth's 217.8 cid 95 hp engine. |
