Yes I rated it 3-star like if it was the same car in the two scenes, but it is probably two different cars of the same model. The car of the Ambassador of Pakistan (on the two thumbnails) was actually owner by the High Commissioner of Pakistan (according to IMDB) -- Last edit: 2007-01-06 11:50:40 |

I don't find any Daimler Consort in Daimler's production between 1960 /1969... but I think it is rather a Daimler Majestic Limousine [DR450] from 1962 till 1968 (end of prod) |

I was not sure about Consort, they looked a little different. But I kept the name because it was listed before I add the pictures. |

I think the Consort is a previous model (1950's)... this one is a 1962 "Majestic Limousine" exact name, differtent from the Majestic Major of the same period, which had smaller rear windows |

Ok, I said it was Consort because it is called so on the site www.theitalianjob.com |

Whilst the plate on the car used for the prison sequence is undoubtably false, I'm not sure this is one and the same car as the funeral sequences were filmed (I think) in Dublin. However, the Ambassadors car is definitely seen in other films and was (again I think), in the Richard Burton movie Villain. |

Here is the Ambassador's car, NAN 404D, in Villain: /vehicle_127515-Daimler-DR450-1966.html |

Charlie Croker: This car belongs to the Pakistani ambassador! Lorna: It does? Charlie Croker: Typical, isn't it? I've been out of jail five minutes, and already I'm in a hot car. Lorna: Charlie, I just wanted you to come out in style, baby. |

Does seem to be 2 different cars. HMP 1 (main) does not have roof plaque, but does have driver door mirror. NAN 404D has no door mirror, but does have roof plaque - both here and in the Villain appearance at /vehicle_127515-Daimler-DR450-1966.html mentioned above. |

I've always remembered the NAN 404D number plate for some reason. There's a similar one on a Mini in the 1968 Thriller Twisted Nerve would that mean they were registered in the same series or at the same place at the same time or something? |
