Big Chrysler like a De Soto Custom Suburban [S-11]. Was there a De Luxe Suburban? 1946-1949. To be confirmed. -- Last edit: 2008-06-24 19:19:35 |

No, there was no DeLuxe Suburban, only the Custom series. I don't think this one is the long wheelbase model, the rear door doesn't look long enough. I think it is just a regular sedan but not sure which division but it could be DeSoto. |

It is a 1946 DeSoto Custom 4 door sedan ( 11 S-C).An easy way to spot them apart is by the lateral front fender trim.On DeSotos the lateral front fender chrome strip ran from behind the front wheel arch to the headlights. On Dodges it was shorter starting at mid height of tha front wheel arch to the headlights.Chryslers had three chrome strips. This one is the regular sedan. |
