I love this '77 Pacer. This movie is right up my alley and I'm a 100% Metalhead. |

I'd say give it five stars. |

I'm not sure if this really deserves five stars. The movie is not about it. |

It's a memorable car, but not a "star car" like the Bluesmobile or ECTO-1 (Ghostbusters). For a vehicle to recieve five stars it must either be pretty famous or used extensively throughout the film, like the Griswold Family Truckster in National Lampoon's Vacation or the BMW GS1100 motorbikes that Ewan McGregor and Charley Boorman rode in the TV series Long Way Round (without the bikes there would be no adventure). I'm not sure Wayne's AMC Pacer is quite famous enough, nor does it play a huge part in the film. It certainly worth 4 stars though. |

I'd agree |

With the last comment (or last 2 comments in this case, as you and G-MANN said basically the same). -- Last edit: 2007-01-04 18:39:33 |

a couple of years ago, I saw that car for sale at the Volo Auto Museum in Volo IL. They were sellin it for like $14K i think. Best part was they had a tv monitor next to it playing the segment of Bohemium Rhapsody over and over again. I dont know if its still there.. gotta check on that. |

This car is listed at number 11 on ride lusts 50 most famous cars of all time, right after the ghostbusters 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Ambulance that takes the number 10 spot I think it's pretty famous, but then again, I don't really care whether or not it gets 4 or 5 stars, I just thought it was a nice little fun fact http://www.ridelust.com/the-50-most-famous-cars-of-all-time/ |

Does anyone know where and/or how to obtain some in-depth info on this very car? (I'm now talking specifically about the one in Waynes World, not just AMC Pacer in general) I'm looking for info like: * Is it confirmed that it was a '77? ('75-'77 they looked basically the same) * What is the exact color of the one in the movie? Is it a original AMC color? * Are the seats original? They look like the seats that usually had basketry print fabric, only they dont. In the movie they have plain white fabric... Is this original or a modification? Anybody? |

I would say the colour is ''Powder blue 7 D'', that was an original 1977 AMC colour. |

Weird that the license plate says it's December yet all the leaves are green or orange, and Wayne wears a T-shirt throughout the movie... I'm sorry but if it were December in Illinois, wouldn't it be cold as hell?? |

That's when the license plate expires. |

The van is blocking the driveway of the house next door in the main picture. They did a good job of making appear as one driveway though. |
