According to a period brochure seen on www.aronline.co.uk, this version was sold in Denmark as Morris 1000 Super Varevogn. |

We just have started the discussion in annother thread: does anyone know more about Danish assembled Minor's? I'm sure that I've heard something about that a long time ago. Perhaps this explains, why the Minor was so popular in Denmark. Even today you can see some on the streets over there. |

I´ve asked my danish friend about danish assembly for the Morris Minor but as far as he knows Morris had no assembly plant in Denmark. |

I've got a book reference that these were made in DK. Details are a bit vague for detail, but there was CKD assembly of light commercial Minors by DOMI (presumably vans and pick-ups, including a unique long body "De Luxe" van) from early/mid-50s until well into 60s; DOMI were the BMC importers based at Glostrup near Copenhagen. Super name only started in 62 when 1098cc fitted. -- Last edit: 2013-03-09 14:45:39 |
