1917-18 (no drip rail extending to the hood). Can't tell if steering wheel is the 1917-18 black painted wood or 1919 Fordite. |

That definitely looks more like synthetic material than painted wood. So the hood could indeed be a replacement... Cue jfs for telling me whether that corroded wheel spider is pressed steel or iron. -- Last edit: 2023-09-30 09:48:18 |

I can’t see why they would want to cast a steering wheel spider, but maybe they might cast the whole thing. Basically, I don’t know. 100+ years old production processes are outside my knowledge. |

This one still has the five-piece rear section whose three piece replacement was announced in June 1920. See the seam above the rear wheel behind the rear door, which disappeared when the new body appeared.
