Gets blown up, but it seems to have been replaced by a hastily repainted derelict version of the car for that purpose. Spot the differences:

If original, main is very very early TD without perforated wheels - apparently solids were only used on first 250 or thereabouts. Main looks OK condition, but first 3 thumbs looks a bit tatty. The bang car has shiny cream wheels but BMC-ish as if replaced.

Added two more thumbs, and altogether we can see:
- the rear in thumb #2 looks less shoddy than in thumb #5 (position of the plate), and both sport a spare wheel very different from the one on the bang car;
- the car in thumb #3 has dark spots on its front fenders, but the main car and the bang car do not;
- the dashboard in thumb #5 is decidedly not white, which it is in bang car's thumb #1 along with its steering wheel;
- the bang car has obtained a hubcap missing from the same wheel in main pic, but has in turn lost both the badge and the ornament from the grille;
- the bang car has a remarkably large dark spot above rear fender in its third thumb, not present in its second thumb;
- the windshield of the bang car is broken up in thumb #3, but intact in thumbs #1 and #2.

I have no idea how many cars that makes, but I'm beginning to think that whichever one they blew up, they blew it up twice.

There's also some disappearing/reappearing over-riders to figure out.

Bang car thumb 2 - is he whacking the car with a bat or something? Would that explain why the screen is broken in next thumbs?

He's about to pull the guy from thumb 3 back on his feet for another punch which has the guy fall on the car's radiator which somehow explodes on contact (although the explosion actually starts in the rear of the car...). Note that there is a distinct cut between the shot of the guy landing on the car and thumb #3 (which also eliminates the other guy as he was close enough to the car before the cut that he should be in thumb #3).

Here are some thumbs from the fight before the cut to explosion in which the car's paint job looks distinctly different from the one it has when it blows up:

I particularly like the dashboard the instruments on which appear to have been indiscriminately painted over, if it even was an actual dashboard to begin with, making this car look like a mock-up (it should perhaps be noted that the car is never touched during this sequence, and the camera cuts away to thumb #3 as soon as the bad guy starts landing on the car). What seems safe to conclude is that the fight sequence and the resulting explosion were shot separately at different times, with different cars/mock-ups and possibly even at different locations (it's a lot less green around the car when the two guys fight).
