Yes those are newer BMW 7-Series (manly featured on 750i/Li US spec models) wheels offered up to the 2007 model year. 2008 models have a slightly different appearance, but still retain the thin ten spoke design. |

I cannot confirm which year the car was built, but I can say that they arrived on the filming location in a brand-new state... I've been delivering auto parts for the older cars, but recent cars like that one didn't need much replacement parts, except maybe shocks which needed to be stronger to support the extra weight. |

I think it's a total shame what they did to all these cars. They look so embarassing and ugly covered in these protective heaps of metal. was it at least a good movie? |

For an action movie, I found it nice, yes |

nice only in the sense of good car action or nice in the sense that there was an interesting storyline as well? |

Hmmm the "storyline" is rather basic. If you do not like car races, do not watch that movie |

I already thought so |

I guess that’s why some people call movies like this "mindless fun" (for it doesn’t have a intellectual storyline) |

The storyline is basic - race-car driver gets set up for murder, goes to prison, has to race and win for his freedom - but it sure beats the original, which really was just mindless hit-and-run driving. (And some nice titty shots!) |

I thought this was physically unrealistic, had poor exscuses to throw in random women, and was your average sell-out to appeal flic. And if you really have to turn off your brain to appreciate this mess there should be a warning at the beginning, plus thats like saying that to appreciate a crummy car you shouldn't drive it very often. |

If that's what you're crying over my only advice is do not watch te rest of the scene. |
