1979-85 LTD Crown Victoria. |

There were no 1979 Crown Victorias. The LTD Crown Vic was introduced in 1980 to replace the top-of-the-line LTD Landau. And all LTD CV from 1980-1982 have vinyl landau tops with the chrome crown bar across the roof. 1983+ the name was applied to all the full size models from base fleet to LX. So what we can tell about this one: a) had the 1979-1982 taillights, b) no vinyl roof, c) no blue oval on trunk lid (1982+), and d) the mirror is hard to see in the thumbnail but it looks like a detached mirror with a base. So I would say this is a 1981 LTD base model (though I think the detached mirrors became available late 1980MY). |

I found a version on YouTube, so need to amend my initial ID: As seen in these pics, it has the attached mirrors of 1979-1980, and it has dual headlights and not quads, so a 1979 LTD base or 1980 LTD S. |
